Movie Review: Cars 2

Cars 2 is an action-packed fun and amazing film that is perfect for kids and adults to watch. It is the story of Lightning McQueen leaving Radiator Springs along with his friend Mater. They went on an adventure to Tokyo for the World Gran Prix and to compete across the globe for the Piston Cup.

Lightning meets a new rival named Francesco while Mater becomes mistaken for a secret agent involved in a very dangerous mission to stop a very dangerous man whose goal is to take over the world. Now, it's up to Mater to stop this mad man before he accomplishes his mission. Joining Mater is Finn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell on a battle that is so epic, it will blow your mind.

I find Cars 2 a much bigger improvement from the first movie because this sequel has more action and creativity into it including the designs, graphics, and 3D resolutions. In the first Cars movie, Lightning McQueen was a superstar race car who competes in a tournament for the Piston Cup but now he’s racing around the globe to save it.

I thought that the lead voice actors were amazing in performing their roles in Cars 2. The movie stars the voice of Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater. I also liked the other actors' performance in this film.

I know everyone is expecting another fantastic movie from Disney Pixar and they've got another one! So remember to watch Cars 2 showing in cinemas now.

Movie Review: Final Destination 5

In the first four Final Destination movies, they almost have the same plot happening over and over. So if you are going to expect the same out of the 5th installment, why watch it anyway? But don’t be so sure yet. The 5th (which I hope will be the last) movie of the “Final Destination” franchise is the most exciting, shocking, and thriller-filled movie that will give you chills as you walk out the theatre. Not only that, it is the most gruesome blood fest Final Destination movie ever!!!

In the story, employees of a company were going on a retreat. The main protagonists to board the bus are Sam, Molly, Peter, and Candice (Peter’s girlfriend). Other passengers were their co-workers Isaac, Olivia, their boss Nathan and other employees of the company. Before Sam got on the bus, he had a weird feeling as he was staring at the “watch your step” sign on the bus stairs. As the bus moves along a bridge being repaired, he started looking so worried about his surroundings. As the bus stops in the middle of the bridge, the structure started to collapse. One by one, they ended up with horrible, gruesome deaths.

Sam wakes up from his nightmare knowing everything he envisioned in his premonition was about to happen. He tried his best to salvage people along with his other co-workers, but it was too late. As they watched from the end of the road where the end of the bridge collapsed, they were not aware that death will soon hunt them so they will all die.

As they waited for the funeral of the employees who died on that bridge to start, a mysterious coroner warned them about the mistake that they made about surviving the tragedy. He told them that they should’ve died on that bridge because when they lived, they have taken someone else’s place on earth.

What I like about the movie is that it has new twists in the film instead of just mere coincidences of everyday objects killing people. The filmmakers did a really good job in the gore factor section. I think the overall creativity was twice as good as the recent films. The story was also almost as “supernatural” instead of just a sad ending of one’s destination.

If you like watching scary movies, you should see this one!

Movie Review: Cowboys and Aliens

I just watched the screening of the newly released film “Cowboys & Aliens” yesterday with my dad and found it to be a very good movie. It has a weird, but fresh, new title that I think people have never heard of before in other films. Before the story began, I didn’t expect too much that it was going to be that spectacular compared to other action films because, let's face it, it’s not really a movie that people would seem to relate to.

Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this movie because it has a lot of action involving awesome alien and cowboy gunfights. A certain point in the story that I really liked was the part where the cowboys fought the aliens that invaded their town and were abducting people while, at the same time, extracting gold from the earth because, to them, gold is also a priceless mineral like it is for us.

The main protagonist is a lone cowboy who woke up in the middle of nowhere. He is injured and having no memory of who he is and what happened. I found it very interesting that he had a really high-tech bracelet as a weapon. Also, I found the CGI rendition of the alien spaceships that attacked the town really cool.

If you enjoy action-adventure films, go watch this movie.
